Unfortunately, because no one walks around with a giant neon sign reading “good intentions” on their foreheads, we have to think an awful lot about the characters we shake hands with, and the deals we shake over.
Jah Bless sounds like Cleo Arie might’ve been curved once or twice in the industry and beyond, however it is not the story she’s choosing to tell. Over a clean afro production and signature riffs that didn’t need to be complex to be memorable, she’s imploring God for guidance and blessings as she courses through life. Cleo’s vocals are as pristine at higher octaves as they are at lower ones, as though she’s two different vocalists sharing the same pipes.
After this song, it is hard to question the longevity of her career because blessed is she who brings her grind to the Lord!
Passionate about innumerable things in life with photography, animals and music being just some of them. I have a knack for socialising and convincing people to try new music as I enjoy (almost) every genre. “Music is the epitome of all arts, and so we listen!”
