“Destination” is a right-on-cue reminder that we can always count on the music industry to corner us into giving in to the thrills and stresses of romance. These people will never allow us to boycott Valentine’s; it’s “sweet ballads” and “heartbreaks” here, there and everywhere.
But more than that, “Destination” is a reminder that no sane person can ever be tempted to dismiss the endurance of Hillzy’s career. “Chisikana EP” is set to be released in March this year, and this song is not making the wait any easier.
Dakari’s smashing instrumental is a beautiful diversion, neatly pulling our focus from Hillzy’s intricate story that is only perceived when one listens close; a story about longing, desperation, uncertainty and deprivation, and to show how bad the situation is, “If you feel the same just hit me up” are his closing words.
Passionate about innumerable things in life with photography, animals and music being just some of them. I have a knack for socialising and convincing people to try new music as I enjoy (almost) every genre. “Music is the epitome of all arts, and so we listen!”
