Whenever the youth want to take a stand, we sit back and wish them well. We hope that no one interrupts their fists-in-the-air movement for power. We pray they get the catharsis they seek in the music they make! We listen as they chant and rap about fire. We know the stakes have never been higher.
Moto is as angry as it is gratifying. I will tell you this, it is not easy to decipher what the song is actually about, but if it pleases the ear; message be damned! If you are one for soft ballads; then we refer to you as “One That Just Took A Wrong Turn”. Moto has one of the hardest basses I’ve heard all week, in fact class has been in session for a while now; we’re still taking notes on that bass (and that trappy overtone!).
This review would not be complete without a mention of the visuals; they’re definitely inspired. And! As if it hasn’t been said enough; Zimbabwean Hip Hop is ready for the world!
